'He hates signs of aging': Gwen Stefani encourages Blake Shelton to get Botox as he approaches his fifties

LOS ANGELES, CALIFONIA: Blake Shelton, 47, appears to be aging a little too gracefully these days, and his surgery-obsessed wife Gwen Stefani, 54, has reportedly talked him into getting Botox, according to RadarOnline.com.

Despite being named People's Sexiest Man Alive, Stefani's anti-ageing obsession appears to have rubbed off on her country singer beau.

Blake Shelton 'hates the signs of aging'

An insider close to the country star told the National Enquirer, "He hardly even has crow's feet."

The source added, "He may be an outdoors guy who likes the rugged life on the farm, but he hates the signs of aging like anybody else in Hollywood and has apparently been getting a few nip/tucks."

Shelton's 'Hollaback Girl' wife allegedly encouraged him to get Botox. Stefani is no stranger to cosmetic surgery, having infamously had her entire face redone in 2019. Her shocking new appearance took fans aback, but that hasn't stopped the No Doubt singer from maintaining her tight, wrinkle-free appearance.

Gwen Stefani is a 'huge fan of Botox and fillers'

The insider said as they continued to state the obvious, "Now, it's all about maintenance for Gwen. She's a huge fan of Botox and fillers."

'The Voice' coach "regularly goes in for a tune-up" on injections, according to the insider, who also claimed that she persuades Shelton to join. The source said, "She's the one who convinced Blake he didn't have to live with lines and wrinkles."

Blake Shelton started doing cosmetic 'procedures'

The source added, "Now that he's started doing it, he likes it and he's talking of getting more procedures done, like the facial rejuvenation that's become so popular."

Fortunately for Shelton, compared to Stefani's work, his cosmetic "tune-ups" are more subdued and natural-looking.

Dr Robert H Cohen, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon who has not treated Shelton, told the outlet that the 'God's Country' singer is probably a good fit for the work he has done.

Dr Cohen told the outlet, "It appears he may have had some very well-placed Botox to maintain his good looks, but it's very age appropriate, as there are still some wrinkles."

Blake Shelton 'looks natural'

He said, "If he's had anything else done, he's doing it very well. He looks natural. He looks like the superstar that he is!"

In her marriage, Stefani has assumed responsibility for more than just preventing aging. To assist Shelton in losing weight, the singer allegedly hired a personal trainer back in June.

An insider said, "Gwen's taken charge and has got Blake on a healthy new diet and exercise plan."

The source went on to say that because Stefani "worries about his health," she wanted her husband "to spend the next few months focusing" on his lifestyle.
