Danny Masterson pals fear he might kill himself in prison as wife Bijou Philips and daughter cut ties

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A few friends of Danny Masterson, who have still not left his side, are reportedly now scared that he might kill himself in prison.

The 47-year-old actor was awarded three decades of prison time after being convicted of raping two women.

‘Everyone has turned their backs on him’

Following the sentencing, his wife Bijou Phillips filed for divorce and has recently been given full custody of their 9-year-old daughter, Fianna.

Now an insider shared, as per RadarOnline.com, “Danny has no one and nothing to live for. Everyone has turned their backs on him.”

The tipster also stated that since he’s being holed up at the Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles “as a rapist, he will be a target for hardened criminals”.

They noted, “Danny's getting all his personal affairs in order and making sure that Fianna is taken care of. But he's doing it quickly, because he knows that he may eventually fall prey to other prisoners — or end things on his own terms.”

‘Mr Masterson, you are not the victim here’

The ‘Star Kid’ actor received 30 years of jail time in September.

At the time, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo told him, as reported by NBC News, “Mr Masterson, I know that you’re sitting here steadfast in your claims of innocence and thus no doubt feeling victimized by a justice system that has failed you.”

“But Mr Masterson, you are not the victim here,” Olmedo asserted.

Though Masterson and his estranged wife Phillips did not utter a word in the court, one of his accusers identified as Jane Doe #2 said, “When you raped me, you stole from me. That’s what rape is, a theft of the spirit.”

“You are pathetic, disturbed, and completely violent. The world is better off with you in prison,” she added.

Another accuser, Jane Doe #1, claimed, “I knew he belonged behind bars for the safety of all the women he came into contact with.”

“I am so sorry, and I’m so upset. I wish I’d reported him sooner to the police,” the woman said.

‘My hope is that this sentence will somehow bring them peace’

Besides, after the sentencing, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon issued a statement that read, “My hope is that this sentence will somehow bring them peace and that their bravery will be an example to others.”

Gascon added, “One of my top priorities is to ensure that Los Angeles will no longer be a hunting ground for Hollywood elite who feel entitled to prey on women.”
